PresenterJill Finlayson

AboutDo you really need a meeting? Who needs to attend? What are you trying to accomplish? Is there an agenda? From weekly team meetings to big collaborative planning sessions, what does it take to have a meeting that is worth everyone's time? Let's talk about agendas, tools, and techniques to brainstorm, problem solve, collaborate, and network. There are lots of different types of meetings but regardless of the goals, everyone wants to get stuff done, make sure everyone's voice is heard, and get out on time.

Tools for in-person and online may vary, but the strategies behind good meetings and decision-making are the same. Discover fun tools like Menti, Miro and Mural and scheduling time-savers like Calend.ly, and when2meet. Explore equitable practices like collaborative agendas, agile stand-ups, and ways to reduce the time you spend in meetings. This session will focus on the conference theme of Innovate, and in particular, focus on Productivity and Technology for optimizing your workday. And it does so in ways that foster collaboration, networking, and communication. Inclusive leadership and equitable participation are integrated into the program, helping leaders make sure all voices are heard, and helping all attendees learn how to “take space and make space.”
