Presenters: Audrey Thomas, Michele Rabkin, Roia Ferrazares and Thembi Jackson
About: Whether we are managers or individual contributors, we ALL have a role to play in making UC Berkeley an anti-racist institution--you don't need to be an "Equity & Inclusion professional" to do this work! Are you ready to GROW in this area? Wondering how you can make a difference? Get inspired by colleagues who are involved in anti-racist organizing at the college, division, and department level, and spend time brainstorming with your peers about how YOU can be a changemaker in your area.
You'll hear from Thembi Jackson, one of the leaders of the Staff Circle on Anti-Racism at Berkeley Law; Audrey Thomas, a member of the Equity & Inclusion Team in the Division of Undergraduate Education; and Roia Ferrazarres, who leads anti-racism workshops in the Department of Physics. Each panelist will share what inspires them, a project they've worked on, challenges encountered, lessons learned, and advice for colleagues who want to get involved. Panel moderator and workshop facilitator Michele Rabkin is a founding member of the Dismantling Racism Study & Action Group and a master facilitator with the Multicultural Education Program.
