UAW Orientations for new employees
Academic Student Employees (ASEs) and Graduate Student Researchers (GSRs) may attend a new employee orientation with representatives from UAW 4811, the union of ASEs and GSRs at UC. At this orientation, union leaders will familiarize you with your rights, protections, and benefits as a worker under the UC-UAW 4811 Collective Bargaining Agreements.
ASE New Employee Orientation - Union Presentation

Readers and Tutors New Employee Orientation - Union Presentation

According to the UC-UAW 4811 Collective Bargaining Agreements, for ASEs and GSRs,attendance at new employee orientation counts as paid time. Timesheets are required so please log 30 minutes for the orientation. Please contact UAW 4811 at berkeley@uaw4811.org if you have any questions.
