UC Berkeley and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (“LBNL”) reached a tentative agreement, subsequently ratified on Oct. 30, 2024, with the Alameda County Building and Construction Trades Council (“ACBCTC”) to extend the collective bargaining agreement for the KB unit for one (1) year.
The KB bargaining unit consists of the skilled trades workers at UC Berkeley and LBNL and the contract is bargained locally.
The University of California, Berkeley currently has 17 different bargaining units on campus. Each bargaining unit has a separate contract with a union that represents all employees covered under that unit.
