Meet Our Coaches:

Ann Rich

Ann Rich

Throughout her career, Ann Rich has been a successful leader in creating and implementing innovative programs and policies that enhance organizational effectiveness and the quality of people’s lives. As an executive in the non-profit and government sectors, she has put her unique set of skills in strategic planning; program, partnership, and resource development; training; and advocacy together to enhance existing service delivery, pass innovative federal state and local legislation, and create lasting systemic change. While most of her work focused more on organizational change, her most satisfying accomplishment brought her attention inward – to center more around personal change. It involved creating programs that helped people who are 50+ figure out what’s next for them, whether it be a new job, vocation, or ways to make their lives more meaningful. That work inspired to be become a coach through IPEC – the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching. She now coaches people in all age groups as to “what’s next” for them on a much deeper level. This can relate to any area of their life – career, relationships, spirituality, family etc. She excels at helping people uncover and resolve what may be blocking them from putting their desires into action. She knows that her clients are really the experts in their lives – she knows they have the answers. Sometimes, it’s just a matter of asking the right questions to get to the heart of the matter.

Hired as an admin assistant at Mills College in the chemistry department, I began to work with their Post Bac-Pre Med Program and discovered that I loved working with these bright and ambitious students. I became the coordinator and developed a program for helping students understand the intricacies of preparing and applying to health professional schools. While working at Mills I completed a master’s in Educational Leadership.  I was then hired as Program Director for the UCB Extension Post Bac program. Discovering that the corporate model was not a good fit, I was lucky enough to be hired at UCB Career Center with pre-med/pre-health/bio students and here I hope to stay at my dream job!
