As a result of adding new skills during the pandemic via courses, books, hands-on labs, and most importantly, creating events to help others do the same, I landed a dream job working for UC Berkeley. I went from learning via consuming content to now producing content with multiple weekly events, and a YouTube channel, am preparing to write a book, and have helped a lot of people all while continuing to learn. I will share my process which includes 1) adopting a growth mindset to develop confidence in one’s ability, 2) applying a 4-step process to move from learner to leader in any content topic, and 3) identifying ways to effectively promote projects, programs, or events for broad engagement.
