Because many supervisors across various disciplines report a lack of knowledge and confidence in providing career coaching and guidance to their direct reports, this course is developed to help. This coaching for career development course is filled with practical tips, guidelines, and helpful suggestions that supervisors can use during the critical career growth and development conversations you have, or soon will have, with your staff.

The course was inspired by the book, Help Them Grow or Watch Them Go: Career Conversations Organizations Need and Employees Want, by Beverly Kaye and Julie Winkle Giulioni (2019), with additional resources noted throughout the course. The information provided will guide you through many topics of conversation and actionable steps you can easily implement.
