New required training for all staff returning to work on UC Berkeley property

UC Berkeley Guidelines on Protecting Workers from COVID-19

The eCourse “207 UC Berkeley Guidelines On Protecting Workers From Covid-19 (Revised 2/8/21)” updates previous COVID-19 safety courses with additional information required by the COVID-19 prevention emergency regulation (8 CCR 3205). This training also reflects updated guidance from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and University of California policies.

This training is required for all staff who are authorized to work on UC Berkeley property, including those who completed the original version of this course (published on 6/1/2020). Please review this training for updated information and resources to help protect yourself and others from COVID-19. This course takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Recurring mandated trainings

The following trainings must be completed on a recurring basis to ensure salary increase eligibility for non-represented staff.

UC Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training:

  • All UC Berkeley staff will need to take a version of the Sexual Harassment Prevention course on a recurring basis.

  • Supervisors will need to take the following eCourse assigned to your profile: UC Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Supervisors and Faculty (course code: AB1825-BE-ECO-2016).

  • If you are not a supervisor, you will need to take the following eCourse assigned to your profile: UC Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment Prevention Training for Staff (course code: SVSAST-BE-ECO-2016)
  • In order to receive credit for the course, the “Assignment Status” will need to be “Acquired.” Here’s how to check on the Assignment Status.
  • Completion of this and other compliance training will impact salary increase eligibility for non-represented staff members.
  • For managers or supervisors, eligibility for future salary increases is also contingent upon each of their direct reports completing their assigned training as well.

Cyber Security:

  • All UC Berkeley staff are required to complete a yearly Cyber Security Training.

  • In order to receive credit for the course, the “Assignment Status” will need to be “Acquired”. Here’s how to check on the Assignment Status.
  • Completion of this and other compliance training will impact salary increase eligibility for non-represented staff members.

  • For managers or supervisors, eligibility for future salary increases is also contingent upon each of their direct reports completing their assigned training as well.

UC Ethical Values and Conduct:

  • All UC Berkeley staff are required to complete Ethical Values and Conduct Training.

  • Completion of this and other compliance training will impact salary increase eligibility for non-represented staff members.

  • For managers or supervisors, eligibility for future salary increases is also contingent upon each of their direct reports completing their assigned training as well.
