This section mirrors the Eligibility, Employment, and Life Events sections directed toward faculty and staff employees. This section will provide information and instructions on handling eligibility, employment, and life events.
If you need help handling a situation or require more information than these processes provide, please create an HR Service Hub Benefits ticket. Alternatively, call and speak to a UCPath representative at (855) 982-7284 Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (PT), or submit an inquiry to UCPath by clicking the "Ask UCPath" button from your Dashboard.
The role of the Department of Human Resources should:
- Be familiar with the processes available to them on the website
- Understand eligibility rules, benefits packages, and enrollment/change/cancel procedures

Provides front-line benefits information and guidance to new and continuing employees
- Direct employees to UCPath for enrollment/change/cancel process
- Assists management in communicating benefits options throughout the employment life cycle
While it is inappropriate for DHRM and generalists to make decisions about benefits for or on behalf of the employees, DHRM and Generalists can help refer employees to the available resources.
