We encourage new employees to attend NERO soon after being hired (Postdocs, Visiting Scholars, and Visiting Student Researchers should attend the New Affiliate Orientation virtual orientation on Zoom.) New employees will get an overview of resources available to staff, campus history, and an opportunity to connect with other newly hired colleagues.

Union Orientation 

Pursuant to AB-119 and the respective collective bargaining agreements (CBA), the University is required to provide the exclusive representative, or Union, with access to its new employee orientation. Thirty (30) minutes prior to each NERO session (8:30 - 9:00 a.m.), each Union will hold a Zoom session to meet with new employees. To join, please click on the Zoom link associated with the respective Union.
