A regular status employee who has exhausted all Family and Medical Leave for their own serious health condition is eligible for Supplemental Family and Medical Leave for up to an additional twelve (12) workweeks or until the end of the calendar year, whichever is less, if the need for a Family and Medical Leave that is in progress continues beyond twelve (12) workweeks. When may a Family and/or Medical Leave apply?

It is the policy of the University of California to provide family care and medical leave to eligible employees in accordance with the federal Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the California Family Rights Act (CFRA) and the California Pregnancy Disability Leave Act (PDL).

The Family-School Partnership Act is a California law that allows parents, grandparents, and guardians to take time off from work to participate in their children's school or child care activities.
