FLSA Determination

On April 23, 2024 the Department of Labor (DOL) issued the highly anticipated final rule to alter the overtime pay regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The rule increased the minimum salary threshold to $43,888 ($844 per week) effective July 1, 2024. For Staff appointments, the University continues to retain the higher salary threshold of $913 per week (equivalent to $47,476 per year for a full-year employee).

Salary Program FY20

It is important that we continue to invest in our staff who provide essential support to the academic mission of the university. Therefore, this year’s Salary Program will be based on merit, internal equity, and the external market. Consistent with the directive from the UC Office of the President, responding to feedback from the staff, across-the-board increases are not permitted.
