Lian Boos (she/her)

Bio/CV:

Lian’s career in Higher Education has traversed two UC Campuses and multiple functional areas but has always centered upon a clear mission: creating more equitable educational experiences for students. Her passion for equity in higher education began as a student leader-turned-career staff at UC Berkeley and was nurtured at the University of Vermont where she worked as the Graduate Assistant for Fraternity and Sorority Life and received her Master’s in Higher Education and Student Affairs. Lian returned to California after graduation to work for the UC Davis Orientation program where she developed a reputation as a strategic change manager, and equity-minded student and staff advocate. In February 2023 she took on the role of Director for the Center for Student Involvement, overseeing Registered Student Organizations, Sorority and Fraternity Life, and Student Expression. Lian has served as an ambassador for the NODA Multicultural Network, a board member of the UC Davis Asian Pacific American Systemwide Alliance (APASA), and a mentor for the NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP). She is also a proud 3-time kickball champion, avid Sacramento Kings fan, fierce plant and dog mom, and loyal cultivator of queer joy and community.
