A longstanding component of UC Berkeley’s efforts to develop a diverse workforce that thrives within an equitable and inclusive work environment is the production of our annual Staff and Academic Affirmative Action (AA) Plans. The Affirmative Action Plans for 2017-2018 are now available and are effective as of September 1, 2017. For the first time, they also include Limited and Per Diem hires. With local schools back in session and our UC Berkeley fall semester well underway, it seems like everyone has the chance to learn something new in the coming months. Why should you be any different? Here are just a few of the many opportunities for you to plug in intellectually beyond your day jobs, and learn, grow and contribute to your career:
Dear students, faculty and staff,
The beginning of the school year is always a magical time for me – a blank sheet of paper, the first page of a novel. You feel the excitement of all the beginnings that surround you – new students embarking on their college or graduate school years, new faculty beginning their Berkeley careers. It was in my first year as a faculty member here that I fell in love with Berkeley – a love that still animates me now.
On an annual basis, all members of our community are required to complete Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment (SVSH) Prevention complaince training.
For Staff - please read our 'how-to' instructions to check your compliance status.
In April, Secova, Inc., working with UC Human Resources, will begin reaching out to certain employees and retirees to reverify the eligibility of some dependents for health and welfare benefits. If you are selected as part of this reverification process, Secova will request information verifying the current eligibility of your spouse or domestic partner, grandchildren or legal wards.
