New Required Employee Orientation for Graduate Student Researchers

Following the ratification of the first Collective Bargaining Agreement covering Graduate Student Researchers, Graduate Student Researchers are required to attend an Employee Orientation with representatives from UAW 2865, the Union of Graduate Student Researchers, and Academic Student Employees at UC. At this orientation, union leaders will familiarize you with your rights, protections, and benefits as a Student Researcher under the UC-UAW 2865 Graduate Student Researcher Collective Bargaining Agreement.

According to the UC-UAW 2865 Graduate Student Researcher Collective Bargaining Agreement, this orientation counts as paid time. If you fill out a timesheet, log 30 minutes for attending the orientation. Please contact berkeley@uaw2865.org if you have any questions.
