Jessica De Anda (she/her/ella)

Bio/CV: 

Jessica De Anda (She/her/ella) grew up in an immigrant household in Southern California both food and housing insecure. Her experiences as a first generation Latina student in higher education studying Biology, Chicanx Studies and Education drove her to become the culturally affirming staff member she never had. Jessica earned her B.A. in Chicanx Studies from University of California Riverside and her M.A. in Education from Claremont Graduate University. 

Jessica currently works as the Program Manager for the Evening and Weekend MBA Program office at the Haas School of Business. Jessica has worked with students K through MBA through her non profit work building a pipeline of underrepresented students into higher education to now supporting MBA students at UC Berkeley. Her work also extends to advocating for the needs of Latinx staff as the Chair of Diversity and Advocacy for Alianza and as a member of the Dean’s Staff Advisory Committee at Haas. Jessica also serves on the non profit board of the Oakland Public Education fund and enjoys reconnecting to her roots through teaching Chicanx Studies, running workshops on Latinx perspectives within work and college, cooking, and her daily writing practice.
