Janell is human, a black woman, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, friend, and confidante. Janell’s accomplishments indicate that she will complete her goals because she is a fighter and a go-getter. The Criminal Justice degree and Trauma Studies certificate were birthed from the strong desire to fight for those without a voice. Those who are tired, overwhelmed, discouraged, and need guidance. Because we are all human, we all fall short at times and Janell wanted to provide hope for those that may not have made the best choices and needed another chance. Not a second chance, but another chance. How many times did you hope for a do-over? We all suffer from trauma. Trauma affects us differently and shows up in different ways at different times in our lives. Studying the effects of trauma from the perspective of the victim and offender added insight and tools to Janell’s toolbox.
Have you ever been in love? Well, Janell thought that she was in love many times in life. It wasn’t until she birthed her daughter that she truly fell in love. Pregnancy complications resulted in the doctor recommending abortion but Janell decided to put it in God’s hands. Yes, HE did it! He blessed Janell with a healthy baby girl at seven months. The desire to be the best version of self resulted in Janell’s Master of Management, Certified Professional Coach certification, Whole Person Certified Coach certification, and Eye of Essence. The goal is to show her daughter that she can reach for the stars, grab them, and manifest any desire that allows one to be the best version of themselves.
Janell Essence is a respectful, insightful, optimistic, bold, and intentional life learner who sees the best in everyone she meets. She is consistently working on her whole person so that she can show up fully present to provide YOU with a confidential, safe, peaceful, and non judgemental space where you are seen, heard, and provided with the resources to manifest the best version of yourself.
Friends call her a confidante and have watched her overcome many obstacles in her personal and professional life. Janell Essence started Women Igniting Movement in 2007 to connect, strengthen, and uplift women. The women who would become strong enough to boldly manifest their best lives resulting in helping their families and communities. Janell Essence wanted to see this bold manifestation on a larger scale and this desire birthed Eye of Essence Coaching. Eye see the best version of YOU!
