Dear HR Colleagues,
The Berkeley Campus will increase the minimum wage for all jobs to $18.67/ hour effective June 23, 2024, in alignment with the upcoming minimum wage increase implemented by the City of Berkeley. This minimum wage implementation primarily affects our Student Assistants (STDT 2 - 004921, STDT 3 - 004920, and STDT 4 - 004919) in the Casual/Restricted employee class. Any non-represented staff employees falling below the new minimum wage will also have their pay rate increased to $18.67/hour. Union-represented employees falling below the new minimum will be managed by Labor Relations.
A mass programmed update will implement the minimum wage change in UCPath on the pay period starting June 23, and all impacted bi-weekly paid employees will see this change on their July 17 paycheck.
