Across UC, staff are often expected to lead initiatives, influence outcomes, and drive progress without formal authority. This session is designed for individuals who want to strengthen their ability to lead from where they are and make meaningful contributions in complex organizational systems.
Participants will explore a practical, behavior-based framework that highlights how influence is built over time through trust, clarity, ownership, and momentum. Rather than focusing on positional leadership, this workshop emphasizes everyday actions that help individuals move ideas forward, navigate stakeholders, and sustain progress amid competing priorities.
Through interactive reflection and discussion, participants will examine real workplace scenarios, identify common barriers to influence, and practice strategies for communicating effectively, building alignment, and taking ownership of change. The session encourages participants to see leadership as something they do, not something tied to a title.
